does organic cotton play any part in your jean buying decisions?

Not really, I guess. Do jeans occupy a significant chunk of the organic cotton market?

I would like to be environmentally conscious, but it doesn't make or brake the deal.

I just realized that my previous post makes me seem a little eco-unfriendly. Seeing as how sustainability and being green are in at the moment, I should add that organic cotton jeans are definitely cool.

quality and construction make the deal for me. Organic would be great, but not a deal breaker.

Of course the vintage jeans upto a point would have been organic anyway so maybe I should be more into it than I am...

Organic cotton would definately play a big part in my decision to buy jeans.

Perhaps organic sugar cane, bamboo, etc too?

do they make jeans out of bamboo? I think it would be too silky, although bamboo lined pockets might be nice...

Yes! 50% organic cotton + 50% organic sugar cane + organic bamboo pocket cloths I'd buy one of those, especially if they had a Lee Cowboy cut.

I'd definitely be interested in organic cotton. Isn't cotton the number one crop in terms of pesticide use? It's pretty rough on the environment, IIRC. That said, bamboo these days is getting hyped as extremely eco-friendly, so the bamboo/cotton combo would have that nice good/evil thing going on...
