If the rules were posted from the start, I don't see extension of deadline being fair. Those people who read the rules thoroughly and read the forum frequently may now have the same chance as those who didn't.
Having an easy competition to attract more users to the forum is a great idea, but it wasn't really advertised and what we really need is a lot of people who actually have sugar canes and posted here, same idea as the nudies forum, but that needs time, this forum is not going to take off and have the amount of traffic as nudies or supertalk in a month.

besides we are sooo close to the deadline, and I been getting excited, I don't really want to wait anymore..... :'(

just my opinion tho, if the mod feels it's fair and better for the forum to extend the deadline, I won't object.
